Income Tax 2013

Needs to be more intuitive and easy to maneuver between sheets and documents. Suggest having a sidebar so you know where you are in the process at any given moment so that you can click back and forth easily and quickly as needed. Because of all the time wasted with going back and forth between sheets and sections, good experience overall, but not great.
What's great about it: Forms guided to complete made filing easier than doing it all myself
What's not so great: Difficult to maneuver between sheets & documents. Wasted a lot of time with all the back and forths.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been filing my own tax return for more than40 years. TurboTax was once a time saving and pleasant experience. Now it seems it constantly wants me to buy things I don't need - and it does not do important and common calculations unless I pay extra (a simple excel spread sheet does the job).
This should be free - and if it costs me money it should not be an experience that I cringe when I think about.
What's great about it: MOst data down-loads from the web
What's not so great: COnstant badgering to buy new un-necessary tools

E-File???

I would recommend Turbo Tax because it is fast and easy. When you can e-file, the refund is also fast. I like that you can select a date if you do have to pay.
What's great about it: Just put in the info and the Turbo Tax does the rest!
What's not so great: Disappointed that I wasn't able to e-file (like I did for the last 5 years).

Having the option to show the forms that are being completed while answering the questions would be very helpful. I could not understand how my taxable income was calculated until I reviewed the forms and worksheets. Having a 1/4 to 1/3 window with the form would really help.
What's great about it: Straight forward
What's not so great: need to toggle between questionaire and forms.

Great experience and easy to file my taxes ensuring I'm getting the best possible refund. Been using Turbo Tax for years and the UX improves every year.
What's great about it: easy to navigate and understand
What's not so great: none
Pros: I bought or sold investments
