Always VERY helpful

For folks with a straight forward tax filing, this is THE solution. For those of us with some complexities in our life, this will provide a 95% result, and after a professional consultation, will then provide the solution. My quirk this year was in regard to 1009-Rs and IRAs, but simply resolved.
What's great about it: iterative, detailed, confident in my result
What's not so great: always some quirk for me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Good as ever

As a finance and accounting professional I am used to working with numbers. Turbotax's "hold you by the hand and lead you through the thicket" methodology I find to be straighforward and flexible. I also appreciate being able to "get under the hood" and workjwith the forms themselves when necessary. Since I only use it once a year I also appreciate the fact that the menus don't radically change from year to year. This reduces the learning curve greatly.
What's great about it: I like how easy it is to fihd help and how simple it is to navigate from topic to topic
What's not so great: Turbotax did not tell me that updates were available.

Taxes with Tubo

I wish that when you return to a previous point you can get back from there without redoing the whole section, or may be I just don't know how to do it. How a bout a helping hand with it?
What's great about it: Easy to use, very friendly
What's not so great: When you use the back key is lengthy to get back to your starting point.

2013 Refund

I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have Turbo Tax to do my taxes. they make them so easy to do.
What's great about it: This software makes taxes so easy.
What's not so great: I wish e-filing were free.

Generally very easy to use, especially year to year. However, if your income varies and you are penalized for underpayment of estimated taxes, there is no easy way to minimize the penalty except by going to the forms themselves. The step by step method should ask those questions.
What's great about it: Lilke the carryforward each year
What's not so great: Have to use forms for variable income

It will work much easier if you work with taxes all during the year. For a person that only thinks taxes at tax time it get a bit confusing.
What's great about it: It's good and quick. Gives good results.
What's not so great: It's a bit complex around the investment section.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I live in Illinois, Susan lives in Virginia and has no financial connection in Illinois, but TurboTax carried some of my 2012 financial data from Illinois into her 2013 financial data and I could find no way to negate it.
What's not so great: Don's data for 2012 carried over to Susan's data this year, i.e., Susan has no obligations in Illinois.

Easy Peazee !

I have been using TurboTax for twenty years. Program improves every year. Lots of help functions and definitions built into each page. Especially easy to use for non accountant types.
What's great about it: Lots of built in help functions.
What's not so great: Would like a toggle to Pub. 17.
