Overall excellent software that was very user friendly.
What's great about it: Excellent Refund for both Federal & State.
What's not so great: Too Many questions needed to be answered "No".

I always get nervous when I start my taxes. I worry about forgetting something. But with Turbo Tax I don't have to worry, they remember everything. It's like I am sitting with the consultant in person. I have always come out a head of the game with them. I recommend Turbo Tax. Even the beginner will have no problem getting their taxes completed knowing they got the best refund possible or owe the least amount possible. And Turbo Tax just keeps getting easier and easier to use.
What's great about it: Easy, covers everything possible, I trust Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: None.

I have put off doing taxes this yr because old computer had crashed and had to start from the beginning. Turbo made it so easy to start over. I have used Turbo Tax for years because it is easy.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: price Price keeps going up, some CPA's are not charging a whole lot more
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Your on line help is at best inadequate. There is no way to resolve an error found in the tax statement. I will not be back next year.

VERY HELPFUL

THE NAMING System needs to be changed when saving files.
The file name for the filed copy and various record copies should be changed in the "save as" file location.
One help would be to minimize the name of the file and prompt for a name.
Also need help on downloading sale information from companies that handle dividend reinvestment plans.
What's great about it: EASY TO FOLLOW, DOWNLOAD STUFF from outside fast
What's not so great: FORM FOR HOW TO GET REFUND SHOULD NOT BE AT THE END.

Review of Turbotax 2013

All in all,, I am quite satisfied with the latest version of TurboTax, which I have used for many years. Easy to download, runs on Mac, and downloads previous years forms which were on PC format onto Mac with no problems.
Filling out my income tax is very easy to follow.
My only complaint is that "It's Deductible" is quite a bit more cumbersome that previous year's versions. Needs improvement
What's great about it: Easy to download. Runs on Mac as well as PC. mostly easy to use.
What's not so great: "It's Deductible" is much more cumbersome to use this year

e-file failed after payment
on February 27, 2014

(1) The program gets more complicated every year and takes too much time to deal with the changes, especially for someone taking the standard deduction.
(2) The 2013 version took my payment for state e-file but did not go through because an update was needed. Checking for updates revealed no updates available. The software then recommended filing by mail instead, after paying for e-file, which is an insult.
The process of solving the problem involved downloading the latest version of Turbotax and picking up where I left off which did finally work. Why in the world wasn't this fixed with the update that was done at the beginning of the first Turbotax session? Intuit knew about this bug for months.
What's great about it: not many
What's not so great: program gets more complicated every year.
