Turbo Tax Review for 2013 Return Fed

Overall a GREAT product, I have used TT for a number of years and it still is getting better.
What's great about it: Easy to use and change data as needed
What's not so great: Need to be able to change names and addresses of charities when needed. Also need to know when home construction costs
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Excellent product

There was a lot of material that didn't apply to me and caused a lot of reading. I was not put off to the extent that I know how it could have been simplified. Isn't there a version for a simple retire guy with no extras?
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: A lot of unnecessary stuff for me

Turbo tax makes it easy to do taxes plus it is guaranteed 100% accurate. Also got my maximum refund!!!! Way to go.
What's great about it: ease of use, and guaranteed

This section was very confusing. After I entered the information from my 1099-B's, the program changed entries with " various" purchased dates and moved the data from long term to short term. I thought I had entered the information in error. Turbo tax did not explained why. When I got through the section I had to go back and change it back .Turbo Tax needs to explain why it makes these changes at input time. I spent way more time on researching the reporting that I should, and I still don't know why it was changed.
What's great about it: I like the way the program gives me control with the input and forms.
What's not so great: entering 1099-B information

TurboTax makes doing taxes a piece of cake!

I have used TurboTax for several years. Friends have experimented with some of the others on the market. When we have compared our experiences, I have been very pleased that I stuck with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Turns the tedium into a pleasant experience
