Turbo tax has helped up for years- i always know they stand behind their product and are available to help.
What's great about it: always reminding me of what i might have forgotten to claim

Need to add more institutions

I use tradeking which is not available to bring in my stock info so it took a lot longer to put in all the info
What's great about it: very easy to work with
What's not so great: My stock broker is not one of the available to choose from

2013 Turbo Tax Review

I like the transfer of the prior years data and the option to just access the tax areas that are pertinent to my return.

We had some complexity this year with scholarships, education credits, etc. Unfortunately, I had to review forms carefully and make some changes, for instance; Turbotax included a scholarship receipt as se income and tried to assess additional se tax.
What's great about it: user friendliness
What's not so great: I had to modify some items, like se tax on scholarships

Even with changes in my income due to retirement, I did not have any problems with understanding how to get through this annual process of filing taxes. Life changing events are still explained and included in what to do with tax forms.
What's great about it: Explained everything well with good examples
What's not so great: seems to be getting more complicated
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
