Got the Job Done

TurboTax was very easy to use as advertised. It made the whole process of filing a lot simpler.
There are a few problems however. The program does not provide any guidance on how to enter a foreign pension, only earned income. It also does not automatically remove the Form 4852 (substitute 1099-R) when I deleted the pension entry pertaining to this form. It took a lot of searching to find out how to delete this form.

Highly recommend. Used for 10 years or so without disappointment. Helps so much to have a lot of the forms already filled in when starting.
What's great about it: Still simple, quick and as painless as this dreary task can be made.
What's not so great: Still a little disapointed in HELP function.

I really recommend TurboTax! Its quick and easy! They tell you step by step what information is needed, guide you and through all sorts of deductions. This was my first time filling my taxes myself. TurboTax made it seem easier than I thought it was going to be!
What's great about it: Loved the step-by-step help and the "explain this" links!
What's not so great: I actually can't think of any

Easy as can be!

I've used TurboTax for many years now and it makes completing my taxes on time a breeze. I usually have to finish them quickly so that I can make the deadline for the FAFSA each year and Turbotax makes it easy.

Not as good as in previous years

You have to watch where the values you enter go, especially with investments - I guess you have to buy the Premier version (which was heavily pushed) to get it to work smoothly. In some cases, if you've setup multiple stock sales or have multiple 1099M's the interface will ask about one and put the entered values in the other...
What's great about it: You can produce a good tax return
What's not so great: The interface does not always flow properly
