TurboTax is a great tool. I've used it for many years and will continue to do so as long as I'm able.

Turbo Tax Delight

As a long term user, I always look forward to starting my Federal Return with the various prompts. It doesn't let you overlook any deductions, and it highlights last years numbers as a starting point. Couldn't be happier with the final results.
What's great about it: Following the prompts was easy, and if I needed additional info it was there for the asking.
What's not so great: Too much selling of a higher level Turbo Tax was annoying.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

would like an option to have someone review my return before i submit. i would be willing to pay a fee to have someone else go thru it to see if i had missed anything that would help.

I would have liked to View the Printed Forms for the Fed and State TAX forms earlier than having to wait until end of program, when I could print out the forms just prior to submitting.
As an Older client, it would be nice to be able to look at the information completed on the Traditional Forms, Federal 1040 and the State 540. So that when you say yes, to I have reviewed the information. Sure I reviewed my answers electronically, but would be better to View Traditional Forms before that question.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax found deductions I may have missed

Very easy and quick to use

Turbo Tax is quick, easy and efficient to use. It walks you thru the filing process step by step and makes good recommendations on what and how you should file.
What's great about it: I feel that the Turbo Tax Deluxe is easy to use and any one should be able to file their taxes quickly using it.
What's not so great: I have found no negatives to using Turbo Tax.

LOVE TurboTax

I'm an accountant by training, but by no means a tax expert. I use to spend too much time reading the changes to the tax laws every year, and still not always feeling confident that I'd done the job right. Now I let TurboTax do all that for me, and I don't feel like maybe I missed something. In fact, the first year I used TurboTax, I found I HAD missed a deduction in past years. I filed amended returns for those years, and got back missed refunds.
What's great about it: Does all the math and finds the money for you. You don't have to be a tax expert because they have you covered.

Seemed a little easier to use than in past years. Lack of auto save or save reminder caused me to have to repeat entry of whole deductions section -- or the program lost the entries. State tax questions have historically been much less detailed and this year is no different. Questions about state additions and subtractions from income need to have much better explanation, or better yet have the program answer the questions based on prior year returns (e.g NC Section 179 Depreciation return).
Process for submitting a review is terrible!!
What's great about it: Straighforward questions and navigation; easy to switch from forms to step-by-step
What's not so great: Lack of periodic auto save or reminder to save. State return still needs a lot of work.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes it easy!

Before the detailed step by step in income and deductions, maybe you can add a top level in Income & Deductions that people can check off if some areas don't apply at all. This may save a little time.
What's great about it: T-tax is well organized and easy to use
What's not so great: The step by step walk through takes too much time
