Makes filing taxes easier

I enjoy using the interview format to do my initial "rough" entry, and then going back to specific sections to complete the process as later tax information arrives. The one awkward area is the filing process. I prefer to efile my federal return and paper file my state return. The software is set up to lead you down the path of efiling both, and it took some time to figure out how to get what I wanted accomplished.
What's great about it: Saves a lot of writing by transferring information between forms
What's not so great: Filing options awkward
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax for at least six years and have found it to be a great service. I have always prepared my returns, and this is so very much easier and leaves better records.

My refund

I was able to complete my IRS and State returns rather simply by following your instructions. But (there is always a but, isn't. but this is a good but) I am having some trouble with my computer, for example I had to uninstall Picasa because of a corrupted file. A similar message appeared on Turbotax. Panic, terror, did I lose my tax returns, what now? Following your instructions I put the disk in After a few moments it asked me if I wanted to uninstall the program or repaired. Well of course "repair it". And it did! Thank You

First year is the hardest, entering all the info rentals and whatever. After that it is quick and painless. Do Not save only to a PDF. Next years taxes will not read it. Learned that the hard way.
What's great about it: Has everything you need. No looking up forms or running to the post office.
What's not so great: Doesn't quite pick up where you left off, you have to do a little reviewing.

I HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR MANY YEARS NOW ONLY ONE THING BUGS ME ON MY IOWA RETURN IS I HAVE TO ENTER THE REFUND OF LAST YEARS FED REFUND ON LINE 27 1040 AND TURBOTAX WILL NOT TRANSFER THIS I HAVE CHECK THE FORM TO SEE IF IT IS THEIR, NEVER IS,HAVE TO ENTER IT MY SELF. I GOT DINGED ON THIS SO NOW I CHECK IT, AND IT WILL CHANGE MY FEFUND OR THE AMOUNT I HAVE TO PAY. WHEN YOU GET TO THE END IT CHECKES FOR ERRORS AND SAYS IT FOUND NONE SO YOU THINK EVERYTHINGS OK,BUT I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT IT MAY NOT BE.

Saved Me Time

By using Turbo Tax, I was able to save time in filing my tax return.
I like the step by step questionaire which helps to capture all necessary information.
Even though Turbo Tax did not capture the erroneous input error I made, I was easily able to go to the proper form to correct my mistake.
Because I had all necessary forms and information available, I was able to complete my tax return in less than 30 minutes.
I have used Turbo Tax since 1999 and have been thoroughly please with this product. I have no desire to use any other.
Thanks Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: I like the step by step questionaire which helps to capture all necessary information.
What's not so great: I was disappointed that the erroneous error that I made on the input of my withholding was not captured by Turbo Tax.
