To compare filing MS vs. MJ is not easy. I'd like to see functionality to either split or combine returns, To split our MJ return into two separate MS I had to create 2 renamed copies, delete the data for each person respectively. That worked OK for the taxpayer (T), but not as well for the spouse (S). For S I had to manually switch each S designation to T. A a start, it would be nice to have a global S to T switch rather than having to do so for each item.
PA return: For mutual fund dividends the PA tax documentation seems to indicate that no adjustment is made for U.S. Govt. obligations. When I plug in the % provided with the mutual fund 1099=DIV, Turbo Tax reduces the PA income accordingly (example: 1% of $100 Federal income equates to $99 PA income),
Unclear (to me) how to submit a question directly to TurboTax rather than to Community. Asking Community about estimated availability of Form XYZ for State XX or Federal Form ABC is pointless.
What's great about it: Mostly easy to use
What's not so great: Could not easily determine when PA 1630 form would be available

Turbo Tax makes the ever more complicated process much easier for a lay person to do their own taxes. I have a very simple return, and also do my own taxes, but every year, it seems that we have more forms to worry about. Now I let Turbo Tax tell me if I need to fill out anything new. I like that they do the worksheets for me.

I love the ability to do my taxes at home with the security and assurance needed for sensitive material. Turbo Tax allows me to spend the extra time with my family and eases my stress levels when dealing with taxes.
What's great about it: Excellent assistance, easy to use and walk through sometimes confusing issues

Taxes with an easy button.

This is the second year in which I have filed with turbo tax.
I am pleased with the product and the user friendly layout in which it uses. I can start my taxes and take an hour and a half to do them or I can do them spread over a week for fifteen minutes at time until I am ready and confident in pressing the go button. Until proven not accurate or my taxes become more of a burden than I want to handle, I will continue to use turbo tax.
