free state file

I used turbo tax because I had a lot of changes in my life. Not sure it will be used next year.
What's great about it: this come up the first time I do my taxes
What's not so great: can not free file if I save and work more at a later time

TurboTax Froze - could not quit - shutdown my Mac

After I was done it froze before I could pay for state...
I could not quit the TurboTax program and re-start it, so I tried to re-start and then shut down, and it would not let me, so I had to push the on/off button for 5 seconds.
After that it was OK, but I wasted ten minutes and added a couple of gray hairs to my mane!

Much better than H&R Block software. This is the only tax software I will use from now on.

2013 Turbo Tax

This product is very easy to use. I found it a painless process to complete both Federal and State forms. I had a little problem with the printing instructions, but other than that everything was great.
What's great about it: Easy to use, very clear
What's not so great: To print very comfusing

Super Simple - The only tool required, Computer

We were introduced to Turbo Tax from our insurance agent and now friend, YEARS AGO...We did as he said, compared it to our doing it vs tax preparer... I actually found a couple more areas, I didn't realize and didn't provide to him to do the taxes. I always go with deluxe as it fills our families needs. It was awesome to go with free federal filing. Another year done...
What's great about it: You can go step by step like a bloodhound or skip around like a JRT
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's the best

While I love TurboTax in general, the 'continue' button is a nuisance. I constantly have to scroll down to press it. It should be at the top or it should default to that button so you only have to press 'Enter'.
The software handles easy and more complex tax returns quite nicely. The Help feature is very good.

What's great about it: It's pretty easy...just gather your info and fill in the blanks
What's not so great: The 'continue' button placement needs improvement

Turbo Tax to the max!

Filing is no longer a huge deal with Turbo Tax! I loved the convenience of filing electronically. Turbo Tax walks me through everything and instills confidence in my tax filing abilities.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy, with no mess
What's not so great: A bit tricky to alter certain aspects of your return like you could on a paper return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
