Love TurboTax. I have been using it for 5 years and it is so easy. I appreciate being walked through it step by step.
What's great about it: Transfers returns from previous years makes it so easy!

Covered all with easy prompts. Easy to follow directions.
Payment extra for State efiling was a bit too much. A one time purchase should be enough.
All in all, though, I'm well satisfied and feel well protected.

IN state filing difficulty

I could not efile my IN state taxes because I had more than 20% of one payer deducted for IN. The reason for this is that my retirement income payer will not deduct state taxes! When I found I could not efile, I had to go back to mail my state taxes, and I could not get to the proper point in TurboTax without starting the state process again.
(It costs too much to efile IN taxes anyhow, and you have to agree for a third party bank to share your information with advertisers!)
TurboTax would not let me return to the IN state return to file it by mail. By going through the federal efile process again, finding I had already filed my federal taxes, it let me go forward. However, at that point, I could not print my IN tax forms. I could print the entire batch of federal and state forms from the PDF file, but the button to print IN forms only sent me to the PDF of both federal and state forms.
What's great about it: mostly filled out with federal information
What's not so great: difficult to file by mail after efile was refused

Love Turbo Tax!

Turbo Tax guides you through the process and offers such detailed, yet understandable explanations along the way, that at the end, you feel totally confident that your input is correct. I'm retired, and sometimes the information on investments can be confusing to me, but with Turbo Tax, I'm confident that I'm filling out my returns correctly.

Simple way to do taxes

Easy way to do taxes. I have used Turbo Tax for years and I really like how it transfers all information from the previous year. And figuring out a legal tax deduction for donated items is very simple. Filing is simple too. Now make all E-filing free and I will be very very happy.
