It might be better if the tax payer is asked about any major changes since last year's return. Then if there are the program can go through all the income/deduction itams.
What's great about it: You can download some form info from internet
What's not so great: Considering last year's return, there are too many inapplicable items.

I have been using the program for a number of years. I can't imagine doing my taxes with pen and paper.

I like this product because it assures me that I have gotten every dollar I have coming as a refund . I am confident it has all the latest updates ,is accurate and will stand behind it if needed.
What's great about it: Quick, detailed, and easy to follow.

It's no what you see on the TV it's what you hear out there about this service and a lot cheaper.

Printed copy is very bad.

Upon reviewing my printed copy of my return I was disappointed with it. For some reason unknown to me. It had lines and boxes out of alignment. Lines of type overlapped each other. The pages were run on pages and I couldn't tell where the beginning or ending of a page was. I hope the version the IRS received is better than my printed copy.
What's great about it: Overall good/easy to use
What's not so great: Printed copy/ preview was a mess.

Excellent, but needed more info on RMD and losses

On the whole I love Turbo Tax. Sometimes certain details need to be explained by a live person! particularly on 1099 R, RMD and losses by destruction by robbery, theft, etc.Wondered why we received such low refunds, when our expenses are more and our income did not go up that much.We are Seniors and we seem to be penalized for collecting unemployment when laid off and being forced to take out so much from our retirement which is meager!
What's great about it: very detailed and organized
What's not so great: very time consuming to get all material needed
