only 1 major problem

all went well going through every step of the process until e-filing step. many attempts failed with message 'turbo tax says there are updates you must download before you can e-file, go under turbotax menu and click find updates'. I followed instructions, only it said there are no updates available, so i stepped thru the e-file process again with same error. I repeated this process at least 4 times a day for 3 days before giving up and having to file by mail.
This was a big disappointment since one of the features I really want is the ability to e-file. This feature has always worked for me in the past and it seems to be a turbotax problem.

What's great about it: the process of actually doing the taxes

Super Easy to Use

I like TurboTax (been using it for years). It's super easy, I just think it costs too much.
What's great about it: Comprehensive, very user friendly, good explanations in layman's terms.
What's not so great: expensive

This is our seventh year of using TurboTax and continue to be satisfied with the product. It's updates and user friendly program make us very comfortable with filing from home electronically. We continue to recommend it to family and friends as a safe and economical alternative to other tax filing alternatives. Thanks.
What's great about it: Step by step explanation, advises of items/deductions we were not aware of
What's not so great: Initial glitch with e-file which was quickly resolved

Caught item that CPA missed!

I have had my CPA do my taxes for several years to see if he could find things that I was missing. Using TurboTax to double check him, I have caught his mistakes several times. TurboTax has always been correct. I am going to quit wasting my money on the CPA.

Droid Tablets next year

I had to use my old slow laptop this year, next year I will only use my Samsung Note 10.3 2014 edition, so if this is not compatable, won't be back. I love the program, but hate Apple, so Droid or new program next year; Sorry!
What's great about it: Very easy to understand and move around
What's not so great: No program for Droid tablets
