I have used TT for many years. Every year gets easier.
I do not look forward to this task. TT has great features for help.

DIY Refund!!!

I paid a professional the last few years and last year the copies he gave me were what he printed from the turbo tax program he used. This year a few co-workers suggested I do it myself and save some money. It was so easy to do myself for just the cost of the Turbo Tax software, which was about 1/3 of what the pro charged me.
What's great about it: Excellent tax software package

Very easy to use.
What's great about it: Ability to finish it in one night
What's not so great: Had an issue where I saved the initial doc and I couldn't find it when I came back after lunch.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TURBO TAX MADE TAX TIME VERY SIMPLE TO USE, WITH STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS AND IS VERY USER FRIENDLY.

for penalty for underpayment of estimated tax the software should check if this year's estimated payments are greater than the previous year tax. If so, the penalty is waived. Turbo Tax did not do this and figured a penalty which I had to manually correct.
