Sometimes the program (software) wants to think for me and when I want to do something it doesn't think with me about, I have to go hunting to find the form or place where I can make some deductible entries. It would be helpful to allow for some more general use/application of deductibles without being so specific in allowing only normal things.
What's great about it: No hugh changes so easy to be familiar with process.
What's not so great: Sometimes have to dig out a process for applying some deductibles that I do every year.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INFORMATION

I HAVE UTILIZED TURBO TAX FOR 10 YEARS. IT IS AN EXCEPTIONAL PROGRAM FOR ANY TAX PREPARER, PROFESSIONAL OR FIRST TIMER.
THIS YEAR ONLY ONE PROBLEM. DURING THE REVIEW PROCESS I NEEDED TO GO BACK AND DELETE SOME INFORMATION. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL IF THERE HAS BEEN MORE DIRECT INSTRUCTIONS TO GO BACK TO THE "PERSONAL INFORMATION" PAGE TO DOUBLE CHECK.
IF THERE HAD BEEN DIRECTIONS SUCH AS NEEDED, I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SUBMIT MY TAXES AT LEAST 2 HOURS SOONER. THANK HEAVENS FOR YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, LISA. SHE WALKED ME THROUGH EVERY STEP AND TOOK ME BACK TO WHERE
I NEEDED TO BE. SHE IS A FANTASTIC EMPLOYEE. KEEP HER!!

What's great about it: ALL INFORMATION THAT IS NEEDED IS PROVIDED ON DISC

Good in general. I don't know any other program but I use this because I know it already and you can get your taxes done with it,
What's great about it: Does automatic transfers if you have last years saved.
What's not so great: buying the second state is very expensive.

Kept trying to download updates. Kept saying there were no more new updates. Had to print.

What's not so great: Couldn't download upgrade to do it. Had to print and mail.

Turbo Tax allowed me to file my taxes as easy and painless as possible while maximizing my refunds.
What's great about it: Covered all tax sections for my filing status.

2013 TurboTax Return

I wanted to print before checking the box that I would e-file, and the form printed without my Direct Deposit info. Went to forms view and added it. Turns out TurboTax would have asked for that info after I checked the e-file boxes.
I imported my brokerage statement, and one transaction was incorrectly put into short term box. The paper brokerage statement correctly listed the transaction as long term. Not sure what caused that error.
What's great about it: Love Turbo Tax
What's not so great: A little confusion with Cap Gains section
Pros: I bought or sold investments
