Easy & Reliable As Always!

I've used Turbo Tax for 10 or more years and wouldn't consider filing taxes any other way! I love the way it downloads automatically the basic info from last year's filing. Turbo tax is fast, reliable, easy to understand (even for 'non-accountant' types). The software runs beautifully, there are built-in 'error checks', just to ensure you've captured everything correctly and filing updates are run automatically in the event the IRS has changed anything before you finish filing. Well worth the price of the package! Refunds are prompt and reliable.
What's great about it: Ability to switch between 'forms' & 'step-by-step'; side by side 'last year' amounts
What's not so great: None I've encountered

It Just Gets Better Every Year!

Regardless of what my tax situation was going to be this year, I just felt comfortable and confident using the program. I have been using TurboTax for years, and it really does get better every year. The help was there, if you needed it, but wasn't there to complicate things, if you didn't need it. I really liked the way it looked, as well...nice job!
What's great about it: It just seemed easier to work through...straightforward, clear, and helpful.
What's not so great: Don't have any...Congratulations!

Step by Step

Anyone can use Turbo Tax, even non-accountants or math majors. It does all the heavy lifting for you. If you used it the prior year it will download last year's return and use that as a template. It asks all the questions a person would but for less money. And it shows you step by step the information you already input and where you stand on your return. Easy to follow instructions and will efile for you.
What's great about it: Imports information from last year, steps you through quickly, efficiently and does calculations as you go

5 stars. but please improve home office section difficult to follow and in this section logical flow is lost.
All other sections exceptional!
What's great about it: easy to follow and navigate, easy to save
What's not so great: home office section for deductions is a little clunky compared to all other sections

Turbo Tax for Senior Citizens made easy

Turbo Tax Deluxe is more than adequate for us Seniors who live on Social Security plus some interest and dividend income with average expenses and deductions. The thorough, line by line coverage of the 1040 Form Categories helps NOT TO MISS anything. I have used Turbo Tax prior to Retirement and the simplicity and ease of using Turbo Tax has NOT CHANGED now in retirement.
The 'Personal' LIVE help in case of a minor problem is free and was exceptionally helpful, kind, courteous and understandable.

What's great about it: Detailed explanations but Simply spelled out clearly and concisely
What's not so great: Need to automatically check for software UPDATES each time you Open TT File.

I'VE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR YEARS. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, BUT DID HAVE A LITTLE HICCUP THIS TIME. SCHEDULE F WHICH IS FARM INCOME CAME UP AND PREVENTED ME FROM FILING MY TAXES. I DON'T OWN A FARM SO I DELETED THE FORM BUT IT WOULDN'T GO AWAY. I SPOKE WITH SARAH AT TURBO TAX AND SHE WALKED ME THROUGH GETTING THE FORM TO GO AWAY. SHE WAS AWESOME AND I THEN FILED MY TAXES.
What's great about it: EASY
What's not so great: FORM CAME UP THAT DIDNT APPLY
