Fixes Needed

Turbo Tax told me to enter pension data exactly as it appeared on 1099-R. Taxable portion box not filled in, so Turbo Tax treated entire pension payment as tax free. Had to manually enter taxable amount.
Also, Turbo Tax fails to remind to enter dividend/interest payments of less than $10 where payer no longer required to provide 1099-INT or 1099-DIV, but taxpayer required to report same to IRS.

Error Calulating PA State Tax on Roth Conversion

I'd have liked if TurboTax knew that the conversion of a Traditional IRA to a ROTH IRA is not taxable for PA State tax purposes. I had to rely on a tax advisor to give me this information. If I had followed TurboTax, I'd have owed additional taxes plus a penalty and interest. By consulting a tax advisor, I am getting a refund of $1,180 for 2013 and will have to file an amended return for 2012 to save almost another $1,000. I would think that you folks would be familiar enough with each state's tax laws to make sure this wouldn't happen. In my estimation, this is not a small oversight.
What's great about it: Mostly good, but with one big exception
What's not so great: did not calculate tax correctly for Roth Conversion - s/b $0

Fast and easy. Navigation can be difficult sometimes, but I put this more on the complexity of the tax code than on Intuit.

I have been using Turbotax since it first was published; and I consider it reliable. My family uses it also. TurboTax saves us a lot of effort.
What's great about it: Easy to use and file
What's not so great: Tried to file my DE to early, before end of January.
