when it had an area to choose, sometimes it said the site was not available. that was frustrating
What's great about it: quick refund
What's not so great: was unable to access certain email sites when trying to get info

What's not so great: A little bit cumbersome to skip a question in a topic and then go back and find it within that topic

A Great Piece of Software.....Only Gets Better

I have used Turbo Tax for about 12 years, and each year it becomes easier to use. Especially the state tax (AR). I like the choice of using the step-by-step dialog, or taking off on my own. I also like the option of transferring data from last year, as this saves me a lot of time and typing.
When I started using Turbo Tax, I would double-check all calculations using a spreadsheet I developed.....but not any more, as I have never found a computational error in Turbo Tax and I trust it completely. In some years, Turbo Tax would even remind me of money-saving deductions that I had forgotten all about.
I thank you for your software, and I recommend it to all my friends and relatives.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Accurate & Timely - keeps me from having to stay up with ever-changing tax laws.
What's not so great: What-If Worksheet is difficult to locate....I had to go to Community. Tax History Report columns are all screwed up.

'13 Filing

I discovered a glitch in the 2013 Turbo Tax software's ability to accurately retrieve my 2012 state refund (completed on 2012 Turbo Tax s/w# and automatically populate it onto my 2013 Federal return. This was quite puzzling to me as I looked and my 2012 state return which show one value #the correct value# and yet the 2013 Turbo Tax retrieve a value that was a much different value. It was a value that was not recognized anywhere on my 2012 state tax return. #?# I am glad I caught this error where checking my refund amount against the 'auto-populated' figure.
One other minor glitch was that the 2013 software for some reason defaulted that my youngest son was no longer an eligible dependent. It took my about 5 or 6 minutes to figure out how to correct this. #?# ..again, quite strange.

What's great about it: Generally, the s/w worked well except for a couple glitches
What's not so great: For some reason,the software did not bring the correct value of my 2012 state tax refund over to my 2013 Federal return

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD THE BEST OF LUCK IN MAXIMIZING OUR DEDUCTIONS TO GET THE BEST POSSIBLE REFUND BACK! SUPER FAST AND SUPER EASY TO USE!! LOVE IT!

Non paying position for non profit org.

I needed to include money donated to me by a non-profit organiztion for being president for 33 years. The program claimed it as being self-employed. How could I change this? It cost me $83.00
What's great about it: Carry over and clear questions for each section
What's not so great: Not considering ways to change questions that do not fit the format
