Quick & easy!

Great overall, and so easy to use.
My only real complaint is that a couple times I've erroneously begun a form I did not need. Once the form is started and then abandoned, it will come up in the review at the end as something that was not filled out correctly. At this point, it can be very hard to figure out how to cancel the particular form.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything, is thorough, and leaves user feeling confident that everything is done correctly.
What's not so great: Tough to back out of a form once it's begun. State filing fee is a little steep.

I've been using Turbo tax for the past 6 years. It's always up to date with latest tax laws/rules so it makes filing easy for me without having to do too much research or consider more costly tax preparer costs. Even if my filing was more complex, I'd still consider using this product.
What's great about it: Maintaining the previous information makes filing easier.
What's not so great: Retirement info interface. Too time consuming to setup so I input my info manually.

TurboTax Deluxe Review

I have participated in the VITA Program (IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), worked seasonally with Jackson Hewitt and HR Block and I find the TurboTax software as competent and easy to use as any the tax professionals use and charge substantially more for. I highly recommend TurboTax even to the first time DIY filer.
What's great about it: Simple to use, easy learning curve, excellent explanations & examples
What's not so great: Didn't encounter any
