Improvements needed - tax exempt dividends adjust

I have a managed account with Fidelity Investments. In the account are both Calif. TF bond funds and non-Calif. TF bond funds.
TurboTax and/or Fidelity make it so that all TF income is treated as either multi-state income (all taxable to us Californians) or all Calif. source income (non-taxed for us Californians). A way to separate the two types of income is needed. I "winged it", I hope correctly. TurboTax needs to improve in this area.

What's great about it: I like the importing of 1099B and 1099D
What's not so great: I had to "wing it" to separate Calif TF from non-Calif TF dividends

Turbo Tax takes you through each return step-by-step. Some of the gov't's terminology is arcane; but, TT explains it. By referencing previous year's return, TT helps me overcome my poor record keeping. I've used TT for quite a few years and will continue to do so. It works for me.
What's great about it: Easy to understand. Help is always available.

This is so easy it walks you right through everything. I choose the sections I want to go through which makes it much faster. I Love it!!!!
What's great about it: Import of my W2 which means less to fill out. Cost saving by buying this program.

The Federal & State of NJ return went very smoothly, I can not say the same for the PA Non resident return it was bit tricky.

6 years without error!!!

We have been using Turbo Tax for 6 years and have never had an error! The only con is all the extra forms you have to go through. It would be nice to list the tax forms received in the begining and move forward with those then ask if we would like to talk about other possible deductions. Overall it's been great six years running.
What's great about it: step by step instruction, examples of documents needed to file
What's not so great: all the extra forms for a simple return.
