Have used Turbo tax for 8 years. Easy to do taxes. Same result as having a professional prepare r do them for more money.
What's great about it: ease of which to do taxes
What's not so great: difficult total with some one when have problems
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I HAVE BEEN USING TUBO TAX FOR ALMOST 10 TAX SEASONS AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE A GREAT BENIFIT AND ASSET. I SAY ASSET BECAUSE ANYTIME THROUGHT THE YEAR SHOULD YOU REQUIRE A CURRENT COPY OF YOUR TAX PAPERS THEY ARE RIGHT THERE WITH JUST A CLICK OF THE MOUSE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's great about it: VERY EASY AND SIMPLE TO UTILIZE
What's not so great: SHOULD BE A BIG DISCOUNT BENIFIT SOMEWHERE ON TAXES FOR CONTINUOUS USAGE OF THE TUBO TAX PRODUCT FOR FILING.

Easier than cooking a hard boiled egg!

This software is the easiest, least expensive way to do your taxes. I have been using TurboTax for over 15 years now. I have never been disappointed - my former tax preparer certainly has been! He still tries to get me to came back - and let him file my taxes. No way! It is almost fun doing them. I like to try different scenarios to see what I would have to pay.
This year it took me exactly 3.5 hours to do my taxes. Most of the time was getting the information together needed to complete the return! Excellent program!

What's great about it: Fast, simple, menus with direct questions.
What's not so great: Tax law changes.

Explanations well hidden in some cases

We pay for a non-dependent son to attend college but had to really search to find out only he can claim these expenses. Darn it! Wish it was easier to find an answer. I also miss the questionnaire at the very beginning that I remember from one of the years asking about tax situations you may have experienced through the year. It helped jog my memory about things that may be deductible.
What's great about it: Usually a click away from explanations
What's not so great: Some answers had to be found online and not in Turbo Tax itself
