TURBO TAX IS MUCH EASIER THAN FIGURING MY TAXES USING JUST THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE FORMS. WHAT USED TO TAKE ME ALL DAY ONLY TAKES A FEW HOURS NOW.

I love doing my taxes with TurboTax. Every step of the way, I can see what my refund will be. TurboTax makes doing my taxes so easy I almost look forward to it (almost :) ).
What's great about it: I can see how my refund is affected each step of the way

I have been using Turbo Tax since it was first introduced. I wouldn't think of doing it any other way. Nuf said.
What's great about it: Simplicity of use
What's not so great: Having to pay to e-file State return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used this for the last 3 years, I was using a professional tax preparer but he used a program to prepare return, so why not cut out the middle man. I compared the Turbo tax prepared return to the previous prepared return and all the entries matched up so I have stayed with the program. I would only suggest going to a professional if major life changes occur. No matter what you use the most important thing to keep all the years record in one spot and sort before doing the return,

What's not so great: Need for program to do taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for at least a decade. It is easy to use, and has links to further details if you need them so you can answer the questions accurately. I wouldn't recommend trying to do a super difficult return, such as sales of stocks, early IRA withdrawals, et cetera, unless you are comfortable with calculating the supporting information you need to input. This year our son did his own taxes for the first time (he's 22) using Turbo Tax and he breezed through it. Great product!
What's great about it: Ease of access to additional information, such as examples and detailed info; verifies data inputted
What's not so great: I changed from a Windows to Apple this year....user interfaces are a little different but not too hard to figure out!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
