Quick especially if use previous year info with many of the same income sources and contributions being the same.
What's great about it: I liked it brought in last years features so I didn't have to re-enter the info
What's not so great: Wish more details were shown such as Medicare ins shown on already applied when filing out all health insurance paid.

I always use Turbo Tax but this year it wouldn't allow me to use the extra state and I don't have time to call during the week. So I went to the state and filled out.
Also, I can't submit this because I don't have a nickname and when I selected two ..they were taken. I tried a silly no sense name. We will see if that works
What's great about it: This is the easiest way to file
What's not so great: Too bad I have to enter one of the states via obtain forms and fill out as Turbo Tax wouldn't allow the function to work
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Additional information needs to be included regarding 401k accounts regarding how to tell what status to use for source of income. I am a retired federal employee and was confused as to status the 1099R, should have checked either government money source or none of the above? Since I am a retired civilian federal employee a note on how to differentiate that status would have been very helpful. Since I was unsure I checked none of the above but am not entirely sure that is what I should have submitted on the return.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: pension info

Need to be able to delete income and deduction lines when they don't carry over from year to year, or, they were a one or two time event. Alimony payments that no longer exist, a self employment business that no longer exists, etc.
What's great about it: Getting better each year
What's not so great: See review

I like TurboTax better than a paid preparer mostly because it lets ME see what deductions I qualify for, instead of leaving it to someone who may or may not know the right questions to ask.
What's great about it: Most sections are easy to understand and use
What's not so great: If you get into a form you will not use, it's almost impossible to delete it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
