The only issue I had was with the section 12 part. There was new things listed there that had never been listed before, and it was confusing to what they were, so a quick link to tell me what they meant would have help and speeded up my return.

When I started doing my taxes in February, there was a memo on the Sales Tax deduction stating it wasn't quite ready but would be by 12/31/2013. It said to ask for an email notice when it was ready. Next day I received the notice and tried again to enter my sales tax dedcution. After trying several search questions at Turbo Tax, it took me to the IRS website to show me how to calculate my taxes. Then when I went to enter it, I still couldn't. I finally decided to continue and came across a message, after I said to skip the state tax, that I could now try to calculate my sales tax. Seems terribly complicated.
What's great about it: The guides are very helpful
What's not so great: Getting to the sales tax deduction was challenging
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

difficult to enter data

Turbo tax is comprehensive and accurate but need to provide a way for links back to input forms from the 1040 tax return.
What's great about it: accurate
What's not so great: Time consuming to enter data in step by step

Makes refunds simple

If you used turbotax last year, using it again this year makes your taxes really simple and fast. If this is your first time using turbotax it helps you by walking you through each field you need to fill in and any deductions you can make.
What's great about it: It loads data from last years filings and makes filling out this years easy.
What's not so great: State e-file is not free
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax every year for over a decade and would gladly recommend it to anyone for doing all there tax needs.
