if you forget password& or computer doesnt like answer to security question - forget it. No reason to hae all extra steps to pay Especially after all time $ effort to do tax info. Make it easy Put in card info & thats it. none of this extra nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's great about it: fine once yu get to it
What's not so great: have to sign in to put credit card info in WHY?

TurboTax is just is the easiest , most cost effective way to do my taxes. Even though I am nota novice the easy Step process helps ensure I haven't missed anything. The easy to use tax instructions also prove quick convenient answers to all my questions.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: easy step requires PIN even if mailing

Great tax prep software!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I find it easy to use and have never had an error due to the software. I would recommend to accountants and non-accountants. Since I use the forms view, I really like the error checker. And having form information carry forward each year makes it easy for me to keep using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Forms feature a plus. Makes e-filing easy.

When it comes time to do taxes I break out in hives. it always a relief to get it done. Turbo Tax helps me do it in a couple of hours.

We really liked the product and would buy it again however, It was frustrating that it said we'd work on one person's w-2 at a time. The frustrating part is that since my husband has a w-2 and I'm retired, I couldn't figure out when to put in my information. You do say that if there is a 1099 it would be filed later but to me, it would have helped to put in words like, if retired and have a 1099, enter it later during that section. I think that spelling that out somehow, it might help. We finally figured it out. I liked that you had the record of our last year for comparison because our returns are similar each year and by looking at that we could tell if we were on the right track.

paper filing and investment properties

I want to e file the federal form and send a paper form to the state. Your program automatically sets up to e file both instead of allowing the user to pick what he wants to e file. This is wrong because you do not inform the user that there is a charge to e file the state forms. That charge should be shown on that page. Also if you only e file the federal form the program does not print the state forms or send you back to print them.
What's great about it: Deluxe still provides forms for rental properties even though you do not show it on the back
What's not so great: your program does not go back to the state after you e file the federal form
