Turbo Tax Fan

The program gets easier to use each year.. Nothing nicer than the way it completes your state form for you. I've used it for years, finally got my dad to stop writing his own program and use Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Easy to use program. Nothing nicer than the way it completes your state form for you!
What's not so great: Had to figure out how to remove a deduction I shouldn't have put in - but was able to delete it after I went to the form

Problem with State

I live with a relative in Alabama but all of my income was earned in Ga. It is not required that I fill out an AL state return yet Turbo Tax didn't let me pick the state I wanted. It choose AL as my free State form. I had to spend 45 minutes chatting with a TT representative, then an hour downloading a new free form. Its good you suggest a state form, however also have the option for us to not go with your suggestion and choose our own state without having to go through so much trouble.
What's not so great: It designates your state to file for you. Designated wrong state; long time to fix
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I am personally very surprised and satisfied on how easy TT makes this process now. We have had a long history with Accountant filing our taxes and paying very high fees to do so over the years. Now that our Accountant, who missed some deductions for us last year due to his personal situation with his wife being very ill, and ultimately passing, is not really taking on any other work, we decided to try this out and see if we would hit any tough areas to require us to go back to a professional accountant service? Seems, TT has made this a no-doubter for us now!

Turbotax walked me through my Federal return and linked that information to two state returns. Very easy.

Filing Taxes, along with paying them is just plain NOT FUN. Turbo Tax user-friendly software with all the questions they ask helps you navigate the overwhelming complexity of the tax code. Our government should be fired for making the tax code so difficult and confusing. Thank you Turbo Tax for making it easy. I had to use the Chat feature for a question and though I had to wait (which is understandable), the person was very helpful and knew exactly what I needed to do to help.

I've been using Turbotax for years, and I love it. It is easy to use and had been a great help when it comes to things like investments and deductions.
What's great about it: Easy to use, trustworthy, fast efiling
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
