Terrible

Trouble downloading the app. 14 attempts before efile would go through despite having the latest updates. Didn't maximize my refund, had to get tax advise from a professional on how to better file my taxes with this terrible program. First time I have ever owed money. I would not recommend this program to anyone.
What's great about it: None that I can see
What's not so great: Everything

the cons are i work in st. louis and they have a city earnings tax.2 years ago i used turbo tax and during the illinois review nothing showed up as to manually put st. louis city earnings tax in. i had to pay illinois 634.00. last year on review of illinois error popped up and i checked form cr paid to other states and manually put figure in ,and as years past i didn't owe illinois any tax. i told friens at work about this flaw in turbo tax,and they amended their last two years of illinois and got their refunds back,because same thing had happen to them.
i wonder if something can be done or added to the program that people in our case that live in illinois and work in st.louis that the tax paid to st. louis can be imported as well.

Continually Improving! Huge Fan for a Long Time

I have used TT for a long time. I do not worry that something will be missed. I know you folks market the 100% guarantee but it is the continuous improvements and content that is most impressive. I will be a customer for life if nothing changes.
I am 46 now - that means your corporate budgeters can count on nearly $1600 on me alone if I make it to age 75. That should be enough for you folks to confidently remodel the employee break room - maybe a small plaque with my name too.

Solid Work

Very good and predictable. Minimal hassle for user. Only suggested improvement relates to downloading of electronic import information from vendors, suppliers such as banks. investment companies etc. I think this could be broken down into smaller, simpler more-explained steps to make it falling off a log easy the way the rest of the software is set-up. No worries - I will keep using Turbo-Tax. I love the ease of downloading previous years returns, the ease of electronic filing, and ease of state filing. Wish you could reduce the charge for electronic state file but still goes well.
What's great about it: Easy predictable data entry format - questions very straight-forward and well-explained
What's not so great: Confusion related to vendors, investment groups, banks etc. that allow you to seek for electronic data import -

For some reason, my 2013 Turbo Tax did not auto-update. It said a form was still being worked on, yet when I went to Turbo Tax web site, it said it was available. I found a way to manually update Turbo Tax, and this issue was resolved. Should try to find a way to automatically update Turbo Tax at every session when opened.
What's great about it: Pulled data from previous year, walk through is great - can edit as you go.

I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone. It is easy and simple to use.

Love Turbotax

I used to manually do my return with pencil and paper and all of the books. Never again will I go back. TurboTax is so easy to use and love the import features for w2 information and itsdeductible info as well!

Overall the process is quick and easy. Just some issues going back to forms and restarting interview process. 1st time was stuck in review and would not move on to file portion after changes. Did the same thing again and it worked... Again, overall quick and again...
What's great about it: Simple and Quick
What's not so great: Going back to forms or review was not entirely intuitive
