I wanted to do my taxes, print and mail in without needing access to the internet. I thought I would be able to do that with this product but it needed to search for updates. I was disappointed that it wasn't up to date and ready to use if I only wanted to do my taxes, print and mail.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: had to have access to internet

I feel very comfortable using TurboTax to complete my federal and state taxes. The program leads you through the process efficiently. There were just a couple of times I felt like I needed more information, but with some searching I could find it. Good job, TurboTax!
What's great about it: most questions easy to answer
What's not so great: some term confusion

Appreciate that TurboTax covers all the calculations and insures I have tapped into all possible deductions and credits.
It is comforting to know that I have filed a return that I can be confident in defending if ever audited and that the likelihood of audit is very low.
What's great about it: Process is very user friendly even if not very familiar with tax laws.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I started using TurboTax back in the day when it was ChipSoft and I've used it every year since then. In those days we had to use a pre-printed set of forms and hope it lined up in the printer properly. I think that was about 1992 - not sure of the exact date. I really enjoy using TurboTax because it takes the difficulty out of the process.
What's great about it: Easy, Thorough, I really like the PDF generators. (filing, records, etc.)
What's not so great: Sometimes too difficult to jump around to what I want.

So easy!

I love using Turbo Tax to prepare and submit my taxes. I've used the program for 4 years now and used an accountant prior to that. I save tons of money and feel that I get the same detailed return and can prepare the return on my own time in the comfort of my own home without carrying receipts and documents elsewhere just to get the taxes done. I recommend this program very highly. Thank you Turbo Tax for saving me money and time!
What's great about it: Detailed step-by-step instructions
What's not so great: Had difficulty submitting the first time….but FAQ's gave me the resolution!

Another successful year with turbotax

This is another year that I have filed my taxes with Turbotax and this will not be the last year either.
The program just walks you through what you need to answer and gathers the required information. If you can follow directions you can use turbotax.
What's great about it: Easy to use, clear explanations, nice step by step
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
