Good as usual

Have been using for over 10 years. As long as it allows 5 e-files and returns will keep using it.
What's great about it: Makes complicated to do's easy
What's not so great: Price going up every year...wait, it's called inflation.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's Done

Have used TT for 18-19 years with no issues in filing any of the returns. Using the step by step sequence makes it easy to fill in what's needed when asked. Of course, there's some preliminary work you need to do prior to getting into TT, but even if you forget something, the application will remind you.
Difficulty comes in several areas:
1) when you want to maneuver to the next page or go back, the "Continue" or "Back" button e is never in the same place. Same issue for some of the controls throughout the process.
2) There has to be a way that the keyboard can be used more effectively rather than guessing what is highlighted. (Tabs are not distinct and cannot move back if missed.)
3) Mouse moves around too much. Frustrating when you have to go from one end of the workspace to the other when keystrokes would be as easy. (Can't see what's highlighted.)
4) Moving backwards in the step-by-step in near impossible. Even when I went to forms and found the page, going back to the step-by-step method would not take me back to where I wanted to go. This was extremely difficult in filing my state form (Kansas)

I've tolerated this type of activity in years past and have commented on them as well. Guess I will do the same next year but it would sure be nice to be able to ease through the stuff without the hassles of jumping around.
Overall, I'm satisfied in the fact that the forms are done correctly and I don't have to hassle with the tax forms and books as I used to do before TT came into our life. (Took the time from a18 hours to less than 3...at lest for me now.) Thanks for a good product. Would not want to go elsewhere despite the shortfalls.

Terrific Support

Called for assistance on an IRA issue. Adam was great, helping me to fill out my return correctly. He wasn't sure of the proper entries (it was a very unique situation), but he worked with several of his brother CPA's until we had all the right entries. This saved me not only a possible audit but also unexpected penalties and payments down the road for filling it out incorrectly. Definitely worth the phone call!

Simple to Understand

Helped to walk me through a Very Stressful Part of my Life. And I even got a refund to boot - not a common thing when doing my Taxes !!
What's great about it: Made Deductions easy and understandable to enter

when I printed my forms some were printed twice. when I printed my state forms some extra federal forms were also printed and I do not think I should mail them with my state forms I also got a schedule c form that I could not correct. I think it uploaded it from last year

Easy Return

Was easy to use. Wish the CD came with a digital download code since most newer computers, including mine, doesn't come with a cd/dvd drive.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow instructions
What's not so great: Bought CD at Best Buy thinking it came with a digital download but there was no code.
