City Taxes

The Battle Creek MI tax form shows that I paid zero withholding and therefore owe money to the city. In reality I should be getting several hundred refunded. I could find no way of correcting this through the Turbo Tax software. I now have to manually submit my city return. A co-working using Turbo Tax is getting a similar result for his Battle Creek city return also. I am wondering how many other city returns are affected by this glitch.
What's great about it: Save time by not doing them manaully
What's not so great: Missing data from W2 forms

Another good year........

I have used Turbo Tax for 8 years and it keeps getting easier. This year I did have some capital gains (actually more losses) and while it might have been better to go with the "premium" version I wanted to just use the deluxe I had already gotten. Inputting the buy/sell dates, values etc. of numerous short term investments was tedious but okay. Somehow though it seemed the program itself changed data from short to long term type. I had to call to get this straightened out but we did get it straightened out. Overall another successful venture. My sister can't believe I don't go to an accountant but then she is still using paper and pencil. Turbo Tax rocks!
What's great about it: Thorough
What's not so great: A little help needed on gains/losses
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used TurboTax for the past several years. I love that it imports the data from prior years. It is very easy to update the information for the current tax year and get the maximum refund.
What's great about it: Imports past data and easy to enter updates.
What's not so great: Not enough explanation on some correction items.

I've been using Turbo Tax for 14 years. It's the only way to file your taxes. Takes you through process flawlessly!
What's great about it: Everything works great! Relief to be able to feel confident my taxes are fioled properly.

Poor finish!

Have to give it a 2 out 10 this year due to that pathetic error while trying to submit my e-file return. Eventually figured it out, but really really really annoying. Can't believe the software would have that glitch after all these years of improving the software.
What's great about it: Good screens and questions
What's not so great: bad submission due to update request error. i am on a mac

I thought that when I was doing the error check that there should have been more detailed explanations for what errors had been made, why the program was considering them errors, what information the program was looking for. At times some of the language was confusing (tax speak) with no laymans language explanations.
What's great about it: The information from last year was uploaded making it much faster this year. Most of the explanations were clear.
What's not so great: Sometimes the program asked for information that I was unclear about and didn't provide clear definitions or explanation

Not as happy as previously

It was easy and relatively quick and seemed to cover everything, even some kind of unusual stuff.
Downside, unlike previous years it won't let me look at previous years' original work after last year's "essential data" was transferred to this year's file. I can see the PDF of course, but that can be a pain when I want to be reminded of some things, and the PDF doesn't necessarily have everything I want to see.
I don't really understand why they did this,but I don't like it.
What's great about it: easy to understand and use
What's not so great: makes it difficult [impossible] to read last year's original forms after transfer
