Software Integration

Better integration of TurboTax Deluxe with Quicken Deluxe needed. For example, user ability to collect multiple deductions into a single entry for a given charity recipient, or to list each of these multiple deductions for a given charity recipient on the Charitable Organization Worksheet. Helps in reconciliation with Quicken reports
What's great about it: user friendly, professional look

Not as good

I have been a Turbo Tax user for many years, but am less happy with the program this year. Trying to get back to where I left off requires me to go to the category and re-enter all the yes, no questions until I reach the place in the category where I left off. Happens a lot. I also lost the entire file when I had completed all but schedule E. On-line support said I need to be careful to save every time unless I use the downloaded version.
What's great about it: Step by Step, Keeps last yr's deductions, E-Filing
What's not so great: Loses it's place too often, Desktop version does not self save

I have been using TT for years, I get my taxes done quickly and file electronically. Its so convenient and makes me look like a tax expert to my family!

Turbo Tax is an excellent product!

Overall, Turbo Tax makes filling your tax return easy. It makes sure you have covered all possibilities and then reviews your work to keep you from making errors. When you are finished, you can feel that you and Turbo Tax together have done a good job.
What's great about it: Easy program to follow. It keeps you from missing anything or mistakes with the final review.
What's not so great: I didn't understand that the red ! referred to the lack of the final forms on some schedules.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Difficulty e filing

Have used Turbo Tax for years. Never a problem. This year could not get taxes to e file without lots of issues with software asking for update checking. Never an update needed. Also this is the first year we have had to pay extra for state tax form. Your fees have gone up but the quality is going down. Disappointing
What's great about it: Ease of creating the tax documents
What's not so great: e filing was not easy

Easy filing....again

The last couple of years i've gotten hung up on the HDHP premiums and HSA contributions. I'm never sure I've answered it correctly.
I had a little trouble with the last version installed on 2/22 updating on my macbook. I had to play around with it a bit.
All in all, its always a good experience with TurboTax (10+ years). I tried another product about 5 years ago and returned to TurboTax the next year.
What's great about it: Simple process, easy navigation, good product
What's not so great: trouble with last update, HSA is not straight forward

Easiest year to file my taxes yet

Wow, I always dread filing my taxes, but with this version of TurboTax, it was all for nothing. I just hope I can remember how easy and less stressful it left me this year, so I am not dreading filing next year. The incremental improvements this Tax software has implemented makes it well worth the money.
What's great about it: It just seemed to flow so well and kept everything to the point.
What's not so great: Cannot think of any.

original CPU crashed... had hard drive loaded to external--set up on new computer and installed turbo tax...turbo could only find 2012 tax files could not grab what I already saved..
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: hard to explain
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
