Very good, but must watch state return

Very good product, except the state return must be watched closely. I file a non-resident Oregon tax form. As a non-resident, Oregon allows you file income for only those days actually worked in Oregon. Since my employer is based in the State of Oregon, all the federal income on my W-2 is also attributed to the State of Oregon. But, I am often sent out of the State of Oregon for work purposes. Those days do not need to be included as Oregon income. The Oregon non-resident tax form instructions have a formula for determining the correct Oregon income based on the number of days worked in Oregon, but those items are not included in TurboTax. Unless a person is aware of this item and figures the amount to enter manually, they may pay higher Oregon taxes and/or get a lower Oregon return. Other that that issue, a great product that I use year after year.
What's great about it: Ease of use, It's Deductible, good explanations
What's not so great: Not quite up to speed with all the state options

I really like Turbo Tax and use it on a PC running Windows. I wish it could run on Linux.
What's great about it: I like the way it walks you through the forms

Turbo tax takes care of all my tax needs. I had extra charges this year and it covered it all with no problem or worry. I feel confident that my tax return was done accurately!
What's great about it: Covers everything you need to know
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Found a glich

The amount imported from our previous year's state return was off by 16 dollars. This seems to be a problem noticed by other users, because we found it listed in the help section posted by other users. The fix was to go into the Forms View and manually correct the error.
What's great about it: Prompts for possible deductions
What's not so great: Inaccurate info imported from state return

Have used for several years and am convinced it is the best way to do your taxes. Paying someone to do, what for most people, is an easy return is crazy. The program walks you thru every portion and even suggests/recommends items you may not have thought of or known you could take advantage of to possibly increase your refund or pay less in tax.
What's great about it: Easy to use, complete, fast

So easy to use, I don't understand why anyone with a fairly straightforward tax situation would ever spend money on an accountant when this product is available for about a quarter of the cost.
