Good and still improving

For each charity, ask for the address on same screen as the contributions, so I don't have to go thru the whole list of addresses in order to add one.
Clarify the directions for entering Long Term Health Care Premiums if one has self-employment income and itemizes deductions. I ended up with a double deduction on first try.
What's great about it: More efficient - not as many questions to answer repeatedly each time I revisited a topic
What's not so great: Wading thru the whole list of charities to update an address

Complete and Easy!

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and it is simple and complete. I have used it even when I sold my house and purchased a new one; moved; and, sold stock with both long & short term gains and it never lets me down. I believe I would have missed a number of savings were it not for the question and answer method of completing the forms.
What's great about it: Simple, walk-thru instructions
What's not so great: Recommending upgrades when really not needed
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Couldn't have done it without you

I've been doing my husband's and my taxes since 1994, when we married. The first 2 years, I used a different tax program. It didn't guide me through it all like TurboTax does. It told me about things I didn't realize were tax deductible.
Once I has all our 1999s, I was able to file my taxes. It's been less than 10 days, and I've already received my state return.

A few glitches

Overall things went well. However I found it hard to review certain items after everything had been entered (specifically use tax).
When I was done and ready to file, there were two problems. Firstly, the program wouldn't open on my Mac, so I had to restart (while worrying that my info was lost). Then, when I went to file, there was a message that I couldn't file because an update was available. Checked for updates, none available. Tried to file. Can't file because an update is available. Stuck in a loop. Had to quit and reopen TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step
What's not so great: Hard to locate specific info, glitches
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

E file confusion

form 8453 had a X in front of line for form 8949. OK!
but on form 8949 columns a ,b ,c, it say see stmnt. I assume that means the whole 1099b form which is 3 pages long. but not sure. have a phone number to call if the program is not working right. I tried to use the nick that was created at the start of turbo tax, why not let use the same one?

Ease and clarity of using Turbo Tax program

I am using Turbo Tax program for many years and totally satisfied with the program.
What's great about it: Easy to file a tax
What's not so great: Some instruction is too detailed that I experienced some difficulty.
