Quick - Easy - Accurate

I have used Turbo Tax many years and found it much easier each year. I highly recommend to everyone. My only issue this year was the instructions for printing to file the state was not a clear as before.

AZ State return did not give mailing instructions

AZ State cover sheet states that I e-filed, but I am filing by mail. Therefore, it did not give me any mailing instructions! Now I have to go to the AZ site to find out what is required.

My Tax Buddy for Several Years

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. That is the only and the best way to do your income tax. Thank you for being my Tax Buddy for so many years. Love it!
What's great about it: Easy to use, compatible to Quicken, identify my mistakes to avoid auditing, and make filing a breeze
What's not so great: Cost to efile the State return other than that no problems

Excellent product, year after year

Great job by TurboTax as usual! The only small quibble I have is that it wasn't entirely clear why I didn't qualify for one credit and I had to do a bit of extra research on the IRS website. This was a rather uncommon situation, however, and TT calculated everything correctly -- it just didn't explain exactly why.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to enter my information
What's not so great: Sometimes not quite clear enough

Fix issues!

This is at least the 6th year that I use Turbo Tax for my taxes. While I think that the program is easy to use, two years in a row I have been unable to use the program on my home computer because I keep getting an error message, and the program won't open. I went on the Turbo Tax website, followed the directions for correcting the error, but was still unable to use the program. I noticed that many other people have the same issue. If there is some sort of glitch in the program causing the error message, I think Turbo Tax should fix it. I may use another tax program next year.

2013 Not as User Friendly as Prior Years

1. Prior years did not inquire about RMD on routine monthly pension payments. 1099Rs do not provide info to answer these questions and I'm not about to 'contact the administrators' for goodness sake! You also asked for RMD on the distribution of my deceased wife's qualified annuity. I took the full amount and really have no idea if some or all of it can be characterized as RMD. This section of Income needs help. 2. Lastly, I got the message 'Sales Tax Deduction...IRS is still working on this for 2013, shall we send you an email when it is ready on 12/30/13?' Today is 2/21/14, so this made no sense. 3. Regarding your profile questions below ex. job, home, kids, FYI, I'm an old retired guy, recently widowed, in assisted living, so none of the available answers on this survey seem to apply to me.
What's great about it: Carrying over last year's info. Mostly useful questions.
What's not so great: RMD questions on monthly pension payment.
