Updates

Why did the update come after I had finished a return and not when I first loaded Turbo Tax ! I wasted time repeating portions of both State and Federal returns because Turbo Tax asked for the updates after we had finished those! Why? Why not when I first install Turbo Tax? This is what it did previously. Also, why are there updates to begin with? Once I purchase the product, it should be correct? Why don't you find your Turbo Tax errors before you ship the product to stores?

I have used Turbo Tax for years and this was the most difficult version to navigate. When I didn't want to use a download, it added another W-2. It did not give me an option to add my own sales tax.
What's not so great: Not able to see state return as it went through the process.

Excellent product

Love the product. IRS is easy to use and I think the best year yet to breeze through the details. On the Iowa return, I wish it would be easier to go back in and go through parts again - like just the deductions and credits etc. Otherwise I have used this product from about its beginning I think.
What's great about it: Gets easier to use each year
What's not so great: Improve on the Iowa return

User for many years, very good software

Even though I had trouble getting software installed. I would highly recommend the tax software to anyone. It is comprehensive and easy to to us. It eliminates having to re-enter date from last year. I like the comparison of the previous years return to the current years return. I have been using this product and it predecessor for 20 years.

What's great about it: Fast and easy to use, covers everything.
What's not so great: Had terrible time getting software installed on Win 7, had to use an XP pc.

Problems With State Return

I had to hunt through the state forms to enter direct deposit info. It's the same problem every year. Why can you ask for it or transfer it from the federal form?
What's great about it: Transfers most info from Federal Return
What's not so great: AZ State return does not ask for direct deposit bank information

Another painless tax preparation experience

Year after year (since the days of DOS) Turbo Tax makes quick work of filing my returns. After a dozen years of preparing the returns and having my CPA review them, I've stopped bothering the CPA. He never had anything to suggest and his time is better spent elsewhere.
There can't be a simpler, more user friendly, or more accurate way to file taxes. I also use the Business version for my wife's small business.

What's great about it: Turbo Tax has made filing my taxes a no-brainer. Prior year and Quicken data too.

No Headaches

I've used Turbo Tax for Four years now any they have all been good experiences, considering we are all doing something that we dread to do. TAXES. The rapid refund on the e-file is great. No more waiting for six weeks plus.
What's great about it: Any problem and I wrote a few words in the HELP file and the answers pop right up.
What's not so great: Had to look for a State Unemployment File Paper
