Said it all in the cons.
What's great about it: Cheaper than a tax man.
What's not so great: A couple of screens have no exit route - you need to alt-tab to get out of them.

I love Turbo Tax. I have used it for over 10 years, I recommend it to everyone I know.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Error message pop-ups on incorrect entered in state form prevented them from being corrected except by going to the form.
1099R forms that did not have any state distribution amount were not found in error until trying to e-file state return which did not allow state tax withholding greater than 50% of state distribution.
What's great about it: Carrying prior year results forward
What's not so great: Couldn't alter some dates entered in error without going to forms

Review of 2013 Federal Tax Return QUESTIONS

I do not undertand the line items for tax year 2012, which shows, among other things, Total income was -2778, Taxable income was 0., Amount owed blank. Effective tax rate 0.00. But it shows I paid a tax of 9341. So this does not compute. It could be because I lost my TurboTax documentation on my laptop one year. But this report, it seems to me, would be confusing to the IRS. It was "checked" and found not to be wanting, but I wanted to bring this to your attention anyway.
Otherwise, I think your tax system is pretty straight forward.

I would highly recommend the purchase of this product. It's easy to use and help is readily available when needed.
What's great about it: Turbo tax is well organized. It takes you step by step and there is help if you ever have a question.
What's not so great: Difficulty importing data.
