This is a great way to file your income taxes. It walks you through from start to finish, quick and easy.

Very Dependable

Overall I find Turbotax a real plus. Lots of help screens, dependable, walks me through what I would think are complex items. I appreciate it instead of going to a CPA and spending lots of $$$.

What's great about it: Excellent help screens, similar questions were easy and helpful
What's not so great: First time a form wasn't ready. Was surprising but it finally came through. Felt a little anxious if it would truly show

A Good Experience

Form 8598 Allocation of Tax Amounts Between Certain Individuals in Community Property States.
On the previous page I clicked on Wages not Community Property, my self as well as my wife, but the form came up anyway with figures on my side. I zeroed out my spouse side, and zeroed out my side, but figures came up anyway in box 5 and 12. At that point I finished my return, not knowing what effect it would have on my wifes return or mine, if any.----None of our income is Community Property, as it was all in place prior to getting married.---Understanding that if I understood the "Cause and Effect, it would be less challenging.
Because of the above, you told me I could not Efile, so I clicked on the "Mail The Return. Next page it wants a Pen # for Efile, so after trying a few times to move on, I put a number in, moved on printed and mailed the Return.
I have used TurboTax for over 14 years, and will continue, as I find it overall easy, and assuring that no flags will come up on my Return.-----Thank You
What's great about it: Normally easy.
What's not so great: Update Box did not appear first opening. Found it at the end of the Return, was able to find two missing files I needed.

When do I get paid

Don't know if my forms are signed; when asked to type in my name for signature, I DID SO. when printing paperwork, there is no signature seen on the forms, causing me to question whether or not my signature was accepted and my tax return valid.
What's great about it: The short time to file.
What's not so great: NO INDICATION IF FORMS WERE PROPERLY SIGNED

2013 TurboTax Review

Overall Turbo Tax Deluxe was easy to use. I do wish the program offered a link to the various state Department of Revenue(s) for sales tax code information. Love the option of getting Audit Defense right away and not having that 'one more thing' to remember to do.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Should have an index where you can choose only those areas you want to fill out.

Allowing to Me to efile

Just at start up had an issue, but over all easy to follow. 2nd issue was I donated a large amount clothing this year past $5000 continued to get error message at final check until if filled in Cost/base number, could not find much about issue in the help section. I hope I entered my info correctly
What's great about it: This year it allowed me to e-file
What's not so great: initial start up slow, I hit update seen it was taking to long and it auto created an additonal return I could not delet
