We have used Turbo Tax for years and find that it is easy and convenient to use. The step by step walk through is good for those that need to guidance. I find that I know the items to enter and can go directly to the the input location. Very well put together.

If you want to save money and can follow easy, concise instructions then TurboTax is for you. TurboTax walks you through every facet of filing, it's great!
What's great about it: Streamlines the procees and makes it user-friendly, easy to follow...

Improved over previous years

Don't get me wrong...previous turbotax versions are great and all, but for some reason, this version went way smoother for me. In summary, I used the premium version which perfectly fit my situation. I think turbotax adequately replaces the old school brick-and-mortar tax professional for a majority of cases. I would only seek a professional if things started to get super messy.
My suggestion to possibly appeal to more people is to give a quick explanation of why someone does or does not apply for a credit or deduction. Don't simply say, "the income exceeds..." but mention what the limit actually is. This would help people better understand how tax law is written. Most people probably wouldn't care for those explanations, but more saavy independent tax preparers would, at least I would...

First time user and very happy

was scared to do my taxes on my own but turbo tax made it dummy proof. all the instructions were easy to follow and gave me a peace of mind when i was done. i'll be using turbo tax next year
What's great about it: step by step instructions made it very easy to use. also liked the learn more pop up very informative.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

So Easy

Very easy to use. Makes filing your own taxes a breeze. Wish I could change the method for receiving state refund as the default for Virginia has the refund issued on a debit card and this cannot be changed in TurboTax.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and fast.
What's not so great: Cannot change how state refund is sent.
