LIFE MADE SIMPLER!

I like turbo tax; have used it for years. There are other tax prep programs out there; but why would you ? I know this one works. Support is good too; but I've rarely ever needed it; another plus!
What's great about it: Easy to use expecially if you're a return user. Export prior year feature is terrific.
What's not so great: Cost to efile state is steep.

Great experience, almost look forward to next year

I have used Turbo Tax for several years, and plan to continue to do so. The program guides you through everything and has great explanations so you are confident with what you're filing.
What's great about it: Ease of use, guides are great, simplifies e-filing
What's not so great: You still have to enter everything yourself compared to dropping it off at a CPA
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used then program since 2010 my only complaint is that the price of the software just keeps going up, but what else hasn't.
What's great about it: really fast and conscise

Better tan paying some bean counter to waste your money. Have complete control and can stop and start as you gather records and info. Maybe should provide a list of necessary records.

I would be more comfortable if I got the page that allowed me to review the return before the page requiring me to certify the correctness of the return instead of after it.
This year, during review, the same 1099-R popped up several times requesting validity of the entered info. The info was exactly as on the 1099 and the program has seen that same 1099-R as long as I have been using TurboTax. Not exactly a big confidence booster.
After tedious hours of itemizing all my tax, medical, and charitable deductions several years ago, I KNOW that I no longer generate enough deductions to exceed the standard. I wish that there was, at the beginning of the deductions section, a choice that would allow me to choose the standard deduction and save having to go through all the deduction categories.
What's great about it: Basically the same for the last six years
What's not so great: Ill timed certification

I don't know what went wrong, but it kept giving me this huge amount. I deleted all the input and started over, but nothing changed so I had to start a new form. The only thing I did different is that I didn't use commas the last time.l
What's great about it: Neat and thurogh
What's not so great: The calculation for income was unbelievably wrong by almost 700K and so was my amount owed!. I could not correct it.

I've been using Turbo for years and will continue to do so.
What's great about it: Automatic uploading of information from previous year!
What's not so great: Help screen answers were from a community not an expert so I was unsure of the reliability of the answers.
