Overall Turbotax is a great tool. There is no possible way anyone could keep up with all the laws and the changes that take place. My experience is that you can put your trust in the program to update Turbotax to the latest editons.
The program layout makes the process simple and straight forward, and a quick answer to any difficulty you might encounter. Thumbs up

What's great about it: Data collection and rules of the road, no brainer
What's not so great: I finished without the state sales tax, indicated it was not ready yet , would be read sometime last Dec.

i love turbo tax. i am a returning user. have used turbo tax for many, many years. love how everything transfers over. if you have never done your taxes on your own no worries the program walks you thru everything. you just answer questions, enter your w-2 info and walla it does it for you.
What's great about it: have used turbo tax for many of years. i am a very happy returning user.
What's not so great: problems this year with filling out 2 states. i haven't resolved the issue yet. need to do some research with IL.

Excellent program! Worth the money!

I used to do the federal free forms until I learned how much more I could be getting back from the government. If it's my money, I would like it back! Turbo tax does that for me in a simple, easy to follow way without paying big tax corporations an arm and a leg.

Everything went as expected until the filing. Then I got a validation error. I called the help line and it was resolved quickly and with patience. All is good now. Done!
What's great about it: I just followed the questions
What's not so great: snag in filing, but resolved quickly with patient helper

OMG, what a pain in the rear this year

I spent three days and several hours on the computer and the phone with TurboTax trying to get my State forms to download. I eventually had to load TurboTax onto my laptop (instead of my towers where it's been for decades) and transfer the completed federal files by flashdrive. Even then I had to rename the file in order to get it. I have NEVER been so frustrated in all my life. On the plus side, the poor customer service people were just as perplexed as I was and went the extra mile for me.
What's great about it: Easy to follow questions
What's not so great: State download refused to open
