Federal was great - Wish Minnesota had been too

The federal return was everything I've come to expect from TurboTax. Minnesota caused a great deal of trouble this year. Still not certain I completed it correctly! Will find out after I submit it.
What's great about it: Federal return was all I expected

Help Section is not at all helpful

on some question you have to hit edit to enter more information.
There is really no line by line help like there used to be
also after saving as PDF, I lost the file inside the program. How do I get it back

Great, Year after Year

Been using Turbotax for years. In fact, started using it when it was Mac In Tax for Macintosh computers. Gets better each year. Very thorough but moves through the process quickly. Have never had and IRS enquiries in oner 20 years of use. Will use it as long as they make it.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Thorough.

Straight forward and to the point

Reliable and easy like Turbo Tax always is. One of my big concerns is if I do the return too early. There are so many updates that seem to come down each week and I'm worried my return could change depending on those updates.
What's great about it: Asked the pertinent questions, carried over last year's information, clear comparisons to last year's return
What's not so great: In step-by-step view after each section I had to scroll to the bottom of the page to go to next section.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Previously I always did taxes myself, but changes in employment (forced early retirement, now part-time when available) necessitated help, so I turned to TurboTax on friends' advice. I found it straightforward generally, although a few times it could have given me more information directly rather than referring me to the tax code pages to research for myself.
I was surprised there wasn't a single mention of the ObamaCare penalty. I have qualified health insurance, but TurboTax never asked me about that #like how will it be verified?#. I hope this oversight doesn't cause the uninsured to get messed up.
I refuse to e-file, having friends who have had their data stolen on-line #not certain if taxes were the cause#. Over 70 million Americans had financial data hacked/stolen in one year alone. But I felt TurboTax made the print option too complicated, referring me to some FAQ site when all I wanted to do was preview the forms. It should be a simple "Click Here to Preview", then "Click Here to Save and Print", not all that other confusing baloney.
Still,overall, I would use TurboTax again.
