I have been using Turbo Tax ever since I gave up paper and pencil about 15 years ago.
It is about as easy as doing taxes will get.
I much prefer the resident computer program.
One year I tried the "Cloud" program and didn't
like it much.

What's great about it: Easy, self explanatory questions
What's not so great: A little hard to navigate, if you need to check something in past

Missed Something!!!

On Schedule A, Itemized Deductions, Turbo Tax selected State Tax instead of Sales Tax even though the calculated Sales tax was higher. It makes me wonder what other mistakes were made also???????

Pros and cons of turbo tax

Easy to use, frustrated had to wait for some updates before could finish my email

Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

All financial inputs I had for income, dividends, interest, etc. was manual based on printed reports I was mailed. Turbo Tax kept prompting with the same annoying screen to import each data item from outside sources. I could not use that feature and had to get the same useless and annoying screen prompts for every financial data item. Turbo Tax SHOULD have recognized when I declined t do an import the first time and also asked if I wanted to skip all the later repeat screens that expect a data input. That would have skipped the only annoying feature I found in the software.
