Quick and easy

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Each year they make it easier to use. Forms and Easy Steps are easy to navigate. I can easily look at a specific form if I want to review it, then switch back to where I was in the Easy Steps process and continue. Help is helpful. I can save my file as a .pdf . My only complaint was after printing out the complete Fed and State papers. I wanted a second copy of just the State. I got three pages of good printout then the other 8 pages were gibberish. I don't know why. So, I just photocopied the pages from the original print out.
What's great about it: Easy to follow the instructions and prompts
What's not so great: Three times I got a could not save message, but I was able to save the file anyway.

Always Easy!

Turbo Tax makes preparing your taxes so easy! Even with a complicated return that includes rental properties, self-employment income and expenses, SEP contributions, AMT, and depreciation, Turbo Tax covers every base easily and understandably. The ability to switch between the step-by-step method and going directly into the forms is great. I have used the product for 10 years and still love it. Thank you Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: Consistency in how the software works year after year
What's not so great: Unusually hard way to recalculate tax benefit of 2012 state tax refund

Good times doing taxes?

I have been using Turbo Tax for the past few years and love the product. This year I found it difficult to efile my return as the Mac platform is not completely compatible for turbotax. I read a few reviews through the help center and it said the turbo tax cd could not be in the machine while you were trying to update the software. Also they mentioned it could not transmit due to an update but there was no update to post. I finally shut the computer down and tried after the computer refreshed and it shot straight through. This was still a fast and inexpensive way to go.
What's great about it: Quick and almost painless
What's not so great: Some problems for Mac users
Pros: I had a baby

Kid's houses

Turbo Tax does not adequately address houses rented not for profit such as happens when parents rent houses to their children. Line 23, Sch A, needs to have option for entering expenses such as insurance, maintenance, travel, etc. associated with a "not for profit" rental. And, the instructions for line 21, Form 1040 should have some guidance for houses rented "not for profit".
What's not so great: Missed the boat
