Just as Easy as ever

I have always enjoyed using Turbo Tax. The reviews and guides raise my comfort level regarding the filing of my taxes. I also find the explanations very helpful.
What's great about it: Ease of use

Worst apps for investing information

The stock investing part was horrible. Couldnt understand what to put in and kept giving me errors after I submitted my form.

I have used it for the last few years, and I find using turbotax easy and quick. I like that it allows me to file early and direct deposit to my account.
What's great about it: Easy to understand

Great Refund

I like not having to cart everything to another location and if I forgot something I needed when I gathered my information it is handy and I do not have to make another trip to get it to someone.
What's great about it: I have all information stored on my computer and every year the previous information is imported to save time.
What's not so great: Costs money.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Quick and easy to follow

I chose to get turbo tax again this year and I am still very happy with this product. I was a bit frazzled when I realized I was on my new computer. Thankfully I had access to my ancient beast and after taking forever to get it up and running; i now have the past files from three years back.
I did try and do a test filing without my previous year files and it was a long slow process and I was not happy with the results at the end of Federal and state.
Now doing the whole process with last years import was a breeze and I am much happier with the end results for both Federal and State!

1099-R exception process needed

the 1099-r from vanguard shows all traditional ira distributions as taxable, but about 9% of the ira is non-taxable. I could not find a way to process the 1099-R in turbo-tax to handle this kind of thing
What's great about it: turbo-tax is a good product, but
What's not so great: no process found to handle traditional ira distribution where distribution amount is not really the taxable amount
