misleading

the packaging does not say you need to pay for state tax return and in the process it asked if you want to do your free state return. At the end it comes up with a state tax fee. I would not have bought this if I had known I would have to pay extra for the state return. I will not be using this again.

Form Error could have cost me $4000

There's a bug in the software that incorrectly checks the 8829 form to use the simple calculation for a home office deduction. This completely eliminates all of the data I entered for my home office, including the deduction of the mortgage interest. Only by manually going into the forms and unchecking the simple calculation box did the correct values show up. I went from paying approximately $2000 to getting back approximately $2000.
100% calculations correct, yes. SW errors that could significantly cost you money, yes!!!!!

Easy but super slow !

TT hasn't improved the speed in 7 years. I can go for coffee in the time it takes to do a simple 1 form update.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: SO SLOW TO LOAD, EVEN SLOWER TO UPDATE.

Can't file state income tax

My state income tax paper say Do not file form not final. But it don't tell me what's wrong. It runs the check for errors and it says no errors. Please contact me or fix. I want my money back this is ridiculous. Not to mention the time I've put in to try and fix this issue.I have used Turbo tax for years. Last year I had to get my taxes done by a cpa because it would not give me credit for the state tax I pay in another state on Ohio and It did not give me the proper credit for the geo thermal unit we put in and this year I can not file state of Ohio tax at all. This product has went down hill.

Bad Tax Table

After finishing, reviewed tax table figures from the IRS and Turbo Tax figures were wrong. Glad I didn't file first.
What's great about it: Questions
What's not so great: Should be able to view actual return as you proceed

Worst version yes

I've been using Turbo Tax since the company purchased Parson's Technology's program (i.e. eliminated competition). This is the worst version I have ever worked with. It's flow was clunky and hindering. It seemed that you wanted to penalize me for not buying your hyped up Business version. Next year I am now seriously going to consider some other source to get my taxes done compared this this trash approach that Intuit threw at us.
What's great about it: it can file electronically
What's not so great: terrible flow compared to all previous versions

I am highly disappointed with Turbo Tax this year! The fees that were added this year were uncalled for! I will never use turbo tax again!!
