After reviewing my return, found additional deductions that reduced my tax owed. Don't know how I missed them the first time thru.
Found the tax penalty section (including worksheet) to be a little confusing originally, but finally figured it out. Did NOT owe any penalty.

What's great about it: Cheaper than an accountant.

Finished my taxes fast

Very easy to use. Keeps information from previous year so I don't have to retype it. Has columns for this year and previous year entries so I can compare them. I have been using TurboTax for many years now. Don't know how I would do my taxes without TurboTax

Mostly it works

I've been using Turbotax since it first came out, except for one year when I used a competitor. I've returned now for several years, as Turbotax seems to work better. That is the PRO. Now the CONS: First, the annoying entry form needs a "don't show this again" option. Second, there are far too many nearly redundant questions. It may be necessary to prevent errors, but I think they need to use busy, crotchety real customer to pretest the new products before release. The product is BLOATED. Those are minor compared to the MAJOR PROBLEM that I encountered. I want to efile one of my 2 states right away, and get my refund before I file the second state where I owe money. Turbotax won't allow that. This could be fixed inside the software. Now I have to do it by snail-mail. What a shame!
What's great about it: Product mostly gets the job done
What's not so great: BLOATED, Redundant, Can't separate efiling for states from Feds

2013 Tax Return

The program does walk me through OK, but it is very difficult to move around the program. I found it almost impossible to find a certain form when I was questioned about it. When I wanted to print a copy of my return it took me almost 30 minutes to finally print it. This has always been a problem with Turbo Tax.
