federal income not carried over to state income

when I was e-filing, turbo tax stopped me and caught their mistake. wish it was done correctly the first time.

I can not think of a single thing that I would change on Turbo Tax. I tell everyone I know that this is the best way to go and I am happy to do it!
What's great about it: So much easier year to year
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple Way!

I have used this for 12 years now and keep coming back. Especially like that you can import last years information thus keeping you on track to file everything necessary.
What's great about it: Very easy to do and fast
What's not so great: Some sections ask too many redundant questions

For me, it takes a lot of time because I use Its Deductible and enter every item I donate in it, but its worth it!

My 2013 Tax Forms

I had problems with the PA tax forms. When I went to do my state taxes, it didn't let me do anything. It went straight to the review phase. It said I had W-2 forms and I really had only 1099-R income. I can't get rid of the W-2 forms which has 0 or nothing and it says that I have 4 errors with the 1099-R. Since I completed my federal taxes with no errors. I can't figure out what the 4 errors are on my PA-40 tax form. Turbo Tax just says I have 4 errors and nothing more. I would like to request that when Turbo Tax finds errors that it has a better way of telling me what the actual error is.
What's great about it: It's better than trying to figure the tax code out on my own.
What's not so great: Difficulty in finding immediate answers to perplexing questions.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Time Saving Accuracy

I have used Turbo Tax for over 8 years and would not consider preparing and filing my taxes without it. Schedule C can be very confusing, but Turbo Tax really simplifies the form.
I really like the feature that reviews previous year's filing information and populates the current year forms accordingly..real time saver!

What's great about it: The step-by-step was extremely helpful in navagating the tax forms. Clear explanations.
What's not so great: I had to amend a form.That took me several tries to figure out how to make the amendment.
