A Little Disappointed

I always use Turbo Tax, but this year I was a bit disappointed that I had to hunt around on how to add additional charitable organizations. I was provided a list of previous organizations that I have donated to in the past; however, there was not an obvious way to add additional organizations. It took me about 10 mins to find the solution. Turbo Tax used to be really easy, but this year it seemed not as intuitive.
What's great about it: Walks you through each category
What's not so great: Had to manually go back to add items

e-filing impossibility

Last year I had no trouble e-filing my tax return with the same MAC I used this year. Unfortunately, this year I had to fallback and mail my TurboTax prepared return through the USPS. In short, everything worked well until the validation stage of the e-filing process. Validation failure message indicated the need for updating Turbo Tax software; however, when attempts were made to update TurboTax software, I received a message indicating that no updates were available/needed.
Help desk refered me to Intuit, Intuit indicated that they had no manual updates for MAC.
What's great about it: Walk Thrus Easy to Follow
What's not so great: e-filing not possible

Ray's 2013 TurboTax review

The explanation on whether or not I was due a refund in 2013 because of my residential solar system purchase/installation in 2012 left a lot to be desired. I still don't know why the federal government just carried over the balance of my 2012 credit to the 2014 tax year--even though I'm retired, I could have used some cash to pay for all the increase in cost of living with a fixed income!
What's not so great: question on whether or not to generate 1099's (which I needed to) was confusing.

A few issues

Some parts are a little confusing but the DMV fees entered didn't seem to affect the dollar amount.
What's great about it: Step by step, navigation is easier
What's not so great: Some information s/b transferred but isn't.

Excellent program which I've been using for years. Always easy, always fast. Thank you Turbo tax, for making this task more tolerable!!
What's great about it: Quick & easy, with helpful tips when needed!
What's not so great: Software should check for updates when 1st installed.

great program for someone with simple tax returns to process.
What's great about it: easy to follow with cues on whether or not you qualify for an item. Very helpful set up and progression through process
What's not so great: got stuck on check for new updates; no new updates, but did require me to reboot and start over, no problems afterward
