I trust Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and I am completely satisfied. Only suggestion I have is that you make the explanation of tax-related terminology simple.
What's great about it: I liked the ease of navigating the tax and thoroughness.
What's not so great: Sometimes I did not understand the terms you used.

Hoping for the best

I started out using the online version, which works great if you have a straightforward return to file. My return seemed to be more than it could handle efficiently. I believe some of the entry pages were over simplified to the point of obscuring what information was actually required.
It wasn't until I download the PC version of the software that I was able to see the forms and how TurboTax was populating them. Only then could I see that the questions that were asked and the numbers that were asked for were not what they seemed.
Once I had access to the forms and searched the instructions online, I was able to put together what I believe to be a complete and factual return for federal plus two states.
I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that all of the appropriate forms and worksheets make it to the right people.
What's great about it: All forms were available in PC version
What's not so great: Online version hid too much

I did not see a method to try a calculation using the standard deduction -- might be useful for retired people. I entered some specific deductions even though as a retired person I didn't need them all.
What's great about it: Able to bypass the questions -- I've done this many times
What's not so great: I am really annoyed that you require a nickname

Amazing time saver

I can't believe how fast it does all the calculations and fills in all the forms that used to take me hours and hours before TurboTax. It is amazing too how it goes to my brokerage account and downloads all my stock transactions throughout the year. Once I have gathered all my medical costs, charitable contributions and other paperwork, it only takes an hour or two at my computer with TurboTax to do my complex tax return. It is so helpful that it carries over all relevant information such as depreciation, installment sales, and charitable contribution carryovers from previous years, and just fills all those things in without having to go back and look up previous returns. I have been using TurboTax for quite a few years, and each year it totally amazes me!
What's great about it: How it makes tax time so simple and uncomplicated
