Simple Returns

The software was looking for a Required Minimum Distribution on the payment of an ordinary regular pension as if it were an IRA. This gave me some confusion.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.

Should have tested before putting on market

Had problems installing, only to find out it was a known error (#1603). Fix worked, but was an awkward process. Also, I made one error ( a wrong code from my W2) & it could have cost me $12,000+! If they truly pulled in the last years data, they should have caught it. Sloppy programming. I would have expected better from Intuit & think that they should have caught my inconsistency, compared to the several previous years that I used Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Got me a sweet refund
What's not so great: Install was a nightmare & one error could have cost me $12K!

I so appreciate not having my time wasted with redundant questions. Turbo Tax does a great job of getting information, and using prior year returns without being mind numbing.
Very helpful hints always available, and great graphics with examples of forms you might have received.

Help with a "Taxing" task

Has plenty of questions that help you understand what information you need to gather. Have to really keep your sense of direction, if you go back to review what you have done, but the program is consistent.
What's great about it: questions, seems thorough, shows the effect on refund quickly
What's not so great: Lots of details that may not relate to your situation

I have tried several different ways of filing my taxes even doing them longhand myself. Turbotax is by far the easiest and most complete way to get my taxes done!
What's great about it: user friendly, reuses last years tax info.
What's not so great: can't think of any
